Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

When a merchant installs or uses OptionFlow, we may process Shopify shop identifiers, shop and app-installation information, authentication/session data, app configuration, option-set configuration, product assignment information, billing-plan status, and settings needed to provide the service.

If you contact support, we may process the information you send to us, such as your name, email address, store domain, and the contents of your support request.

2. Buyer option information

OptionFlow is designed to let merchants collect product-option selections from shoppers. Depending on the configured feature, option values may be submitted to Shopify as cart or line-item properties so they can remain associated with the purchase.

When a merchant enables a file or photo upload option, the shopper-selected file is transferred through OptionFlow's authenticated app endpoint to that merchant's Shopify Files storage. The resulting Shopify-hosted file URL can be attached to the cart, checkout, and order as a line-item property. OptionFlow does not retain a separate application-database copy of the uploaded file. The merchant controls the file in Shopify Admin and is responsible for its access, retention, and deletion.

OptionFlow does not intentionally create independent customer profiles from Shopify shopper data and does not require general customer, phone, or address API access for its core functionality.

3. How we use information

• Provide, secure, maintain, and improve OptionFlow.
• Authenticate merchants and maintain app sessions.
• Store and apply option sets, assignments, storefront settings, and related configuration.
• Verify Shopify App Pricing plan status and enforce plan features.
• Respond to support requests and operational issues.
• Comply with legal, security, fraud-prevention, and Shopify platform obligations.

4. Shopify and service providers

OptionFlow operates as a Shopify app and relies on Shopify APIs, authentication, app extensions, and Shopify-managed billing. We may also use hosting, database, infrastructure, DNS, email, and support providers to operate the service. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us or as required by their own applicable terms and laws.

5. Sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information to advertisers. We do not use merchant or shopper information to build third-party advertising profiles.

6. Data retention

We retain app configuration and operational information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide OptionFlow, meet legal or security obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Buyer-uploaded files stored in Shopify Files remain subject to the merchant's Shopify retention and deletion decisions. Merchants should delete files when they are no longer needed and respond to applicable shopper privacy requests.

Shopify compliance webhooks are supported so privacy requests and shop-redaction events can be handled as required. Session data associated with a shop may be removed following applicable shop-redaction events.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, and merchants remain responsible for protecting their Shopify accounts, credentials, staff access, and store configuration.

8. International processing

Our infrastructure and service providers may process information in countries other than the country where a merchant or shopper is located. Where applicable, information is handled subject to the safeguards and legal requirements relevant to those services.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding personal information. Shopify merchants and shoppers may also exercise applicable privacy rights through Shopify. You can contact us for requests relating to information controlled directly by OptionFlow.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as OptionFlow changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the “Last updated” date when we publish material revisions.
